Privacy policy
SiteAspect is developed by Muhammad Bilal Amin, an individual developer based in Tasmania, Australia. This policy explains what the app does with information on your device. In short: SiteAspect does not collect, store or share any of your data. Everything stays on your iPhone.
Information the app uses
SiteAspect asks for the following permissions. Each is used only on your device and only while you are using the app.

| Location (while using the app) | Finding true north, calculating the sun's position, and adding coordinates to photos you take. |
| Motion & Fitness | Reading the compass, tilt and barometer to work out which way the camera faces, the slope of the ground and your height above sea level. |
| Photos (add only) | Saving the photos and sun hours reports you create. The app cannot see or read your existing photos. |
What we collect
Nothing. SiteAspect has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not send your photos, location, sensor readings or any other information off your device. The App Store privacy label for SiteAspect is "Data Not Collected".
Photos and their metadata
Photos you take are saved to your Photos library. They include the date, time, location, compass bearing and related readings in the image metadata, so that the photo can be used for site analysis later. If you share a photo, that information goes with it, as it does with photos from the built-in Camera app. You can remove location from a photo when sharing it from the Photos app.
Settings stored on your device
The app stores your preferences, such as true or magnetic north and which overlays are shown, in the app's own storage on your iPhone. They are removed when you delete the app.
Third parties
SiteAspect contains no third-party code, software development kits or services. Apple provides the App Store, iOS and the system frameworks the app uses; Apple's handling of data is covered by Apple's own privacy policy.
This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. It uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. GitHub may keep standard server logs, such as visitor IP addresses, for security; see GitHub's privacy statement.
Children
SiteAspect does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the effective date changed. Any change that involves collecting data would require an App Store update and your permission in the app.
